While the concept of having the catalogue of a film festival available online, ready to watch whenever you wish is convenient. I still look forward to the day where we can all return to a theatre experience.

One thing I don’t talk about in the Vlog is how beautiful and distinct each one of these films is visually. Even the documentary has a charm to it in how stage lights were used to capture the feel of Ridley Scott’s Alien.

This comes down to the color grading of a film. A technique used after color correction to have the colors on screen match the visual tone of the film’s theme or mood. Our very own Matt Salem recently developed a series of LUTs (Look Up Tables) that can be imported into most editing software, based on the color tone of the universes featured in Nerdvana The Web Series. This LUT pack is free and available in our online store now. If the looks don’t match up exactly, simply tweak the blend or intensity to match, and feel free to reach out to us if you need assistance.
